Peru makes a great combination with the Galapagos Islands, the Iguassu Falls & Rio de Janeiro as well as with Bolivia, Chile & Argentina.

Chile is one of South America’s most popular destinations offering the extraordinary landscapes of the Atacama Desert in the north, the dramatic glaciers and granite towers of Patagonia in the south as well as the appealing Lake District. In addition to trips through the Chilean Fjords, the Magellan Strait and the Beagle Channel we also book flights, excursions and accommodation on Easter Island.
A trip to Chile can easily be combined with Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia and/or Peru. Chile is one of the key gateways for trips to Antarctica and the Falkland Islands.
Guatemala is one of Central America’s most colourful & interesting countries combining the colonial heritage of Antigua with Mayan ruins at Tikal, the traditional markets of Chichicastenango and Solola and natural beauty at Lake Atitlan.
Guatemala can be easily combined with Belize, Honduras and/or El Salvador. It is best visited in the dry season from December to May. There are no direct flights from the UK but can be reached via Madrid or the United States.
Buenos Aires, the Iguassu Falls and Perito Moreno glacier are amongst the key attractions of Argentina. Mexico has long been a favourite destination for us. Bolivia is one of Latin America’s most exciting destinations, particularly the pristine Amazon Rainforest in Madidi National Park, the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca and the amazing Uyuni Salt Flats which cover an astonishing four thousand square miles and the Reserva Eduardo Avaroa National Park where Laguna Colorada is home to over 30,000 flamingoes and Isla Incahuasi, a coral island covered in giant cacti, some of them hundreds of years old.
There is much to discover in Panama including tropical rainforests, some great hiking and fantastic bird watching to white-water rafting, kayaking, pristine beaches and island hideaways. The Falkland Islands consist of two main islands together with over 700 smaller islands and islets. St Helena Revealed: The Secret of the South Atlantic
St Helena is one of the remotest islands on the planet, a tiny speck of land measuring ten miles by six and covering just 47 square miles in the South Atlantic Ocean, 1200 miles west of Africa and 1800 miles east of Brazil. It is most famous as Napoleon’s place of exile following his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo.
To discover St Helena, the secret of the South Atlantic, you can now fly via South Africa. Although the airport only opened in October 2017, we have considerable expertise in booking arrangements to this fascinating island.
El Salvador is Central America’s smallest country but offers some of its most stunning scenery. Enjoy wandering the local markets & welcoming artisans’ workshops, visit an indigo plantation, relax in the hot springs, marvel at El Salvador’s ancient Maya ruins, surf from one of its many beaches, climb a volcano or simply watch the world go by while sipping a cup of El Salvador coffee. Nicaragua is currently going through a period of great unrest and instability and at present the Foreign Office advises against all but essential travel to the country.

As and when the situation improves, we will be able to resume bookings to this beautiful central American country which offers colonial heritage, great wildlife, stunning scenery, soft adventure activities and beautiful white-sand beaches on both Caribbean and Pacific coasts.
Cuba has been described as socialism under the sun or even ‘the red flag with salsa’ but today the country is on the cusp of change (although antipathy from the US has increased since President Obama’s term of office came to an end). Although the tourism infrastructure is slowly improving, at present it remains rather below par. We recommend booking well in advance for tailor-made itineraries. There are flights between Havana and Mexico City, Merida and Cancun for travellers who are keen to combine both countries.
Paraguay is a country of immense charm and character with friendly, engaging people and an interesting, often tragic, history. Asuncion is one of the oldest cities in the Americas and is home to the Conmebol Football museum. The carnivals at Encarnacion run over 4 consecutive weekends in the run-up to Lent (rather than the three or four days before Shrove Tuesday. The Jesuit Missions are worth a visit whilst bird-watchers should head for the sparsely-populated Chaco region with its rich bio-diversity offering great potential for tourism.
Uruguay is regarded as one of the most environmentally sustainable countries in the world. It is reputed to have the cleanest air and purest water in South America, four times as many cattle as people and some 475 species of birds. In addition there around 250 small-scale, family-owned wineries. Uruguay offer visitors an appealing combination of colonial influences, modern resorts, historic estancias and vineyards for rural getaways, great countryside and wildlife and hidden, untouched beaches. Discover one of South America’s lesser known secrets.
The ruins of Copan are one of the most spectacular Mayan sites in Central America and thoroughly recommended. Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula are probably best avoided at present but visitors should instead head for Pico Bonito National Park, which covers 200 square miles and ranges from rainforest at 60m above sea level and turns to cloud forest and pine forest at higher altitudes up to 2480m, with fantastic hiking trails and waterfalls. Roatan is the largest of the Bay Islands which offers great beaches, snorkelling and diving.
Sadly, the Foreign Office advises against all but essential travel to Venezuela due to current instability and high levels of crime.

When stability returns, Venezuela has much to offer: soaring table-top mountains, dramatic waterfalls, fertile deltas and tropical rainforest. Add in the snow-capped peaks of the Andes and the dazzlingly white beaches of Los Roques and you have all the makings of a fantastic holiday.
